Tip of the Week - Don't Twist the Elastic
Help prevent twisting by marking the "top" of your
elastic before threading it through a casing.
Before I started doing this, I used to check three or four times to make sure I hadn't gotten my elastic all
turned around before sewing the ends together. Now I know right away if things got a little wonky.
Unless of course I twist it twice, which wouldn't exactly be unheard of.
Are you planning to do any sewing this weekend?

Thank you! That's exactly what I needed to add to my mental notes for next time I sew elastic, save me time yay!
ReplyDeletethat is soooo smart! Thanks for the idea. I'm always making myself adjustable waistband pants because my jeans fall off me, so I use elastic ALL the time. I will have to remember this one for sure!
