If the Oreos were my favorite cookie this year, these were definitely Ant’s.
I’m pretty sure he ate the entire batch by himself after Reli and I had our initial taste test!
Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Makes about 30
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
3 cups quick oats
1 cup flour
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Beat butter, sugar, egg, milk, and Vanilla until well blended.
Add oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon slowly.
Stir in raisins.
Make tablespoon sized drops 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheets.
Bake 10 – 12 minutes and allow to cool 2 more minutes on the baking sheet before removing.
I’ve always loved how you can tell so much about a person by the way they write down recipe instructions.
Some people like to over explain in an attempt to help you understand, and just confuse the heck outta you,
but I can tell that this one came directly from my Gramma. Short, sweet, and to the point.
It really shows off her “we don’t have time to mess around” attitude! 😀
