But, even with all that is going on I am proud to say that I did manage to post a tutorial for the Dancing Princess Slippers yesterday! I also finished 2 more Quiet Book pages which I'll share with you below, but first I would like to say Hello to my newest followers (Sally, Lyndsey, and Ladybird Lane) and also Thank You to everyone who has left comments in the past few days. I really appreciate your interest in what I'm doing here and am trying to get around to explore each of your blogs as soon as possible.
Now on to the crafting... go here for other finished pages!
This first page is based on Mary Mary Quite Contrary and is pretty generic. I've seen loads of different versions of button flowers while cruising the interwebs and they all just look darn cute. Why mess with something that works right? Tiny has already started playing with this one but seems more interested in removing the buttons than the flowers. Oh well.
The next page is for The Little Mermaid and is my pride and joy so far for this project. It isn't perfect, but it still makes me happy the way it turned out. I'm actually pretty impressed since I managed it all free hand, but of course as soon as I finished Ant asked me "Where are the jellyfish and sea turtles?" Crickets!! Now I wish I had thought of that and put them in there somewhere. (Leave it to men to burst your happy bubble!) Too late, but it's still cute without them I think.
Now I have to buckle down and make up for the days that I missed. Unfortunately this weekend has left me 3 crafts behind, but hopefully there will be nothing this week stopping me from catching up. You know except for fixing the fridge and the car and whatever Tiny throws at me. hehe. See ya tomorrow for Tasty Tuesday. It's gonna be another dessert!
