First - Let's coat them with glitter. (Will the wood show through?)
Second - Paint the wood then cover with glitter. (Do I have enough glitter?)
Third - Just paint them and move on. (That's so boring!)
Fourth - Ok, paint them and then give each a pattern. (Will that be too busy? And what about the glitter?)
Fifth - For goodness sakes! Colors for fun, hearts for theme, glitter for punch!!! (Oh, Ok.)
(Yes, this is how my brain really works. It drives Ant crazy!)
In the end this is what I am left with and even though it's cute, I'm still not 100% convinced it is what I wanted. It is kinda hard to judge with apartment decor everything is painted off-white and you know it won't be there too long. Maybe I really should have gone with just 2 colors, buy hey it's done now.
| It's hard to see but the hearts are covered with matching glitter. |
These are the supplies I used:
The painting is pretty straight forward, but I used the mod podge to attach and then seal the glitter to the hearts. That way it won"t shed all over the floor, or flake off when I pack these away.
At least it matches the paper garland I made a few days ago. I think it's starting to grow on me.
Well, we are half way to Valentine's Day and I have been saving some of my favorite projects. Tomorrow I will be sharing one of my very favorite deserts for Tasty Tuesday. Chocolate lover's aren't gonna want to miss this one! I'm also going to make it a double and share something new I'm trying for Ant involving peanut butter. Be sure to stop back and check it out.
