I'm running really behind tonight, so this is gonna be a short one. I've been seeing a lot about Love Bugs lately and everyone seems to be using ladybugs this year (which I love), but these guys are a bit different so I prefer to call them Cooties. The pattern is for these little guys comes from Hellinä and is pretty easy until you get to the darn wings. I'm sure it's just me, but I tried 3 times and still couldn't get them right. Eventually I gave up and used these from Planet June as a replacement. I think it is great how she shows 3 different sizes (I used medium) and will definitely be able to find more uses for them. I just with I could have used the pipe cleaners. They are so adorable, but in this house everything makes it into Tiny Tart's hands whether it is meant for her or not!
I'm super excited for tomorrow. I'm planning to finally make a trip to the fabric store. My poor sewing machine has been out of commission since the move and I think it is about time I bust her free from the boxes! Hopefully I don't go too wild and cause the hubby to regret letting me go. (Get only what you NEED.) I'm really supposed to be working through the three totes of fabric stashed in the closet, but you know how it is. "All these clothes and nothing to wear!"
